akruthi death and media scew up,Iraq a time bomb waiting to explode, fortune 500,pirate bay, mexico disaster after disaster

Hi

Its great to be back once again.Well its been a interesting week this week for me.A lot of things have happened this week.I will try to cover the once which are going to change the world and which are debatable

well in today's post I shall be talking about the death of a teenager in India and how once again the Indian media screwed up,how US leaving Iraq means self destruction, the surprises in the fortune 500 list, how pirate bay has taken over my life and how Mexico really has a bad spell with disasters after disasters

Well I express my solidarity to the family of Akruti the teenager who died in the school this week after so called being denied the medical attention.Well as usual the media screwed up so badly it was a real embarrassment. They tried to add fuel to the fire and start a riot at the school and the projection of the principal of the school to be completely wrong is one of the worst things the media  can ever do.The media fights sneaks trespass and try to get the idiotic exclusive interview that I am sure that not one of us is interested in.Well  yes i agree that it was wrong on the principal not to have let the child receive medical attention but the media projects her to be a POW(prisoner of war) and one that has to be punished by facing a firing squad.Another example was the Kasab's trial in which he so called laughed when the judge told him "I will be your judge".well is he a celebrity to report he laughed for such a silly reason.OH hell! the media needs to change its  method of thinking and let people have their privacy...........................one things for sure the media in this country is an insult and I hope that someone changes the way they think

Next I shall be talking about the political situation in Iraq which seems to gloomier day by day.US pulling is like pulling the trigger for self destruction.I personally feel that the country is still very fragile and the president of the US has to start start thinking about extension of the troops at least for another 5 years. The uneasiness has become imminent with the fact there have been about half a dozen of suicide blasts. The Iraq leaders need more time and help from the  US to avoid another Afghanistan.Secretary of state Hilary Clinton said that pulling out the troops would enable leadership in the country and would help build a better relationship with the two countries........................but everyone knows that if the US does pull out by 2011 there may be no Iraq to have relationship with .............

well the fortune 500 list was out last week and there were a few surprises.Exxon mobile was no 1 the petroleum giant really has been a company going from strength to strength. One of the biggest surprise was the 6th and 7th positions.the 6th position was that of GM(general motors) and 7th was Ford. These two companies have sunk almost to the bottom of the sea thanks to the economic downturn.they are dependent on the government to stay afloat but still manage to make to the top 10.now that's something to think about. If it still remains we have to see if the companies do exist forget about making it to the list.things seem just to bleak for the automobile industry and especially for these two.The no.2 spot went to wall mart stores.its really surprising how the can make profits when they sell everything at a loss..........(one heck of a trick).the biggest miss in the top 10 was the CITI group who 8th last year which really shows the state to which the banking sector has been hit.Lehman brothers was another big miss after they were 37th last year things have plummeted so badly it couldn't get any worse..........one thing is for sure this economic downturn is a clear test to support Darvin's theory of 'survival of the fittest'.............

Well the next thing I would like to talk about is the website called pirate bay that has taken over my life.It has practically everything and I have been addicted to it.You get practically anything and they are clean not things that can harm your computer. Its uploaded by other users and yes the site name does support it its a bay to dock all the things for everyone to use........

Next I shall be talking about the disasters the country of Mexico has been facing recently.Drug war has been one headache now there is another disaster a deadly flu which supposedly started in Mexico. The flu is called Swine flu and if unofficial reports are to be believed there have been 167 deaths in Mexico and day before yesterday on the 28th of April there was a 22 month child that died in the US  due to this deadly flu.The WHO has stated this to be a stage four which is one level from a global outbreak. It has asked the people to avoid unwanted travels to the US and Mexico. But one side of the story I want to bring in front is that the Mexicans feel that they are being pushed by the US and have to accept all the blame for what all happens regarding them and the US,let it be the drug war or this flu the US has conveniently  pointed its finger to Mexico.people seemed to be furious with this and lets  just hope that  this does not strain relations with the two countries and they can solve the drug problems together........................

Well that's it for today's post
I will be back next week with lots more...
Until Then........

champions league & FA cup round up,start of the great Indian elections,is the tide turning???,IPl season 2,Mulayam haha

Hi,

Its has been a week with mixed emotions for me... I had my IIT tutions starting this week. The institution which teaches me is called BASE.This meant that the no of hours I could freak out and sit around dreaming and being jobless had come down.....(not fair). But hey there have been good things too Chelsea went through to the champions league semi final(yippee)

In today's post I shall be discussing about Chelsea's triumph in the champions league and the FA cup and Manchester United not so shocking exit out of the FA cup final, kick off of the Indian elections and the so called Indian premier League, has wall street reached its lowest point and a manifesto of the SP party that has driven every
 one crazy.........

Firstly I would like to start of with the news on the worlds beautiful game.Chelsea, well they have been on hot for lately beating Liverpool at Anfield at drawing 4-4 at Stamford bridge. This game was breathtaking and  I was just glad that the game was over if Chelsea had to play another half an hour I surely would have got a heart attack. Petr Cech was out of confidence and that was a major reason why he conceded four at Stamford bridge. It was a thriller and here is the highlights of the game.Hats off to Liverpool they almost did the impossible.Like the wording goes 'never write Liverpool out' and they almost proved that on the 14th of April.Even Manchester United made it through to the semi finals thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's brilliantly struck free kick from 40 yards.....
They play Arsenal who cruised past Villareal winning 4-1 on aggregate, the blues play Barcelona and the Catalan giants are going to be one heck of a task for the golden 'Guss's' men.......

In the FA cup Chelsea came back from behind once again to win 2-1 against Arsenal. The Gunners took the lead after just 19 mins Chelsea equalised just before half time. Then in the 82nd minute Drogba sloted the ball into an empty net and Chelsea were through to the FA cup finals.

In the other game Everton won a nail biting encounter with Manchester United.A penalty shoot out was required to settle the game and Everton won 4-2 on penalties with Berbatov and Ferdinand missing for Manchester United.Everton will play Chelsea at Wembley on  the 30th of may....

Next I shall be talking about the Indian elections that have kicked off. The first two phases of the elections Have completed and they have been largely peaceful. This is one election that has been tracked by the Indian media but by the world wide media too. This week's economist cover issue is about the Indian elections.I was taken aback for a second and then I was really pleased to know that India did matter on the Global scale. There were a lot of promises from all parties but its up to what promise the people feel is most important and which party's they can trust and expect them to keep up their promises.............

Another event that kicked of this week was the IPL which is played in South Africa this year due to security reasons.Well, personally I am not at a fan of the IPL and I am totally against commercialising any sport and the IPL seems to be doing just that.unnecessary breaks all is just done for the money.A sense what I get from my Friend's is that the feeling is not the same and that it has become a little boring as there is no buzz drama that constitutes the thriller.Well I Just hope the IPL does go on smooth this season but I hope it is banned from next season or at least the no of games are reduced.......

Next I would like to talk about on how the markets seem to be just turning a little on the brighter side. The feeling that I personally get right now is that the worst part has just past us but its going to take one hell of an effort to bring back this economy back to where it was mid 2007.All the Asian markets mostly seem to be in the green except Japan where it still is quite a battle to boost the economy.Wall street also seems to have just passed the storm and it seems like people have realised that it has plummeted far too much to go down any further. But people are not yet investing as it is just the beginning and with the volatility of the market you would have an absolute moron to invest largely on the stock market. It will take time before all the people like Bernie Madoff who follow the ponzi scheme are eliminated from Wall Street making sure that your shares are much more safer....

Finally I would end this post on something I found an out of the world idea. The Samajwadi Party(contesting for the Indian elections) in its manifesto stated that they would ban English and the use of Internet, well the party did clarify(more of a patch up actually) but surprisingly as pointed by Cyrus Brocha  on the show 'week that wasn't' on CNN IBN stated that this was published on the web and was written in English exactly what the party said it would ban.....there is something to think about............

Well that's it for this weeks post
Will be back for the next week's post

Until then,
Take care

Champions League,shoes the new snipers,CBI inclined??,dirty elections,Italy Earthquake,Dad was right

Hey,It has been a phenomenal four days for me.I had a chance to visit my cousins aunt and uncle. They initially planned to go to Maldives, however the trip had to be cancelled as while filling the immigration they realised that my cousins passport had expired. Now that is one dramatic ending............

Next it has been a great week for all Chelsea FC fans as we won at Anfield.

In today's post I shall be talking about a round up of the champions league, how throwing a shoe at a famous personality is one heck of a tactic to shoot you to fame, the recently concluded CBI investigation giving Jagdish Tytler a clean chit, the vast difference in the elections in the worlds largest economy and the worlds largest democracy, the Earthquake that struck a small quiet town in Italy and finally how i thought my dad was wrong about Obama but suddenly he seems to be right............

I shall start of with the Champions League
Well even I who expects the impossible from Chelsea could not believe the fact that we beat the knights of Europe in front of the Kopites(Liverpool fans ) at Anfiled. When Fernando Torres scored Liverpool's goal in the sixth minute I was telling myself that even a draw would do....
But the response from our('our' because I'm very much involved with the team)  team was a response I had not seen from my club ever since Jose Mourinho left indeed he was the 'special one'.Chelsea piled the pressure on the European giants and eventually it paid off , Branislav Ivanovic scored the equaliser and then on the 59th minute the Serbian defender put Chelsea ahead. The Serbian whose place in the club was always a doubt scored his first two goals for the club. Then Didier Drogba (the king) put the result beyond doubt with an exquisite finish.Liverpool should now win 3-0 something no club has done for the last 15 years.....

Next i shall talk about the latest weapon launched by Munthadhar Al -Zaidi (the man who threw the shoe on George Bush) has now got two customers,Jarnail Singh and the man who threw the shoe at Wen Jiabao. It really is strange on how not even one man has really hit the target. Hit the target or not two of the three people in who threw the shoe have auctioned millions for the shoe and even rewarded the families of the shoe throwers.

The shoe throwing leads me to my next topic, the reason why the Sikh journalist threw the shoe at the finance minister of India. The CBI had given Jagdish Tytler a clean chit (for the anti Sikh riots) just in time for him to contest for the general elections this year. This really shows that there is a violation in the constitution of India, the Judiciary of India no longer seems to be independent, any common man can tell that this verdict was a forced one and that the government had a big role to play in it.

Next I would like to talk on the vast difference in class in the American elections and the Indian elections. Its been an great thing that both these elections have been so close to each other that I could clearly understand the concepts of the elections of both the counties(unique in its respective ways)...
One thing is for sure even though these two countries are true democratic countries they are truly two end's of the spectrum.
Well the campaigning for the US elections was all so smooth.they are very organised and the fac is that they don't try to woo the voters with the filthiest thing around money.....The two candidates debate out the burning issues and ultimately the candidate is elected by the people and in this case the people are well informed and the fact is that they no who can solve their problems. In India its a different story all together.Varun Gandhi,Mayavathi,Stalin are just a few names of the dirties politicians around. There are a lot of political parties and there is absolutely no choice(each one seems worse than the other). When this year there was a debate asked by L.K Advani the P.M refused it an act of cowardice in my opinion. The no of political parties have to decrease to prevent a tie up and a coalition which in turn leads to faster decision making.(for eg. the nuclear deal with US. I think every remembers the complications).hence we have a long way ahead to make sure that the political system is set right and we can make a start it by making sure deserving people are picked, who can take up responsibility.....

I would like to express my solidarity for the people who lost their life in the Italian earthquake. An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 hit the small town of L'Aquila.More than 280 people were feared to be dead and the no it seems is going to rise.My thoughts are with those who lost their lives and my prayers are for the survivors to get back up on their feet as quickly as possible and more importantly for those people who lost their lives may their souls Rest in peace.

Finally I would like to end this post with wan example to justify the proverb 'dad's are always right'.Well five months ago when my dad said 'Obama is not the guy for America. He is not the one who can solve their problems'.Five months ago I thought my dad was totally wrong I heard his speech when he accepted the nomination for presidency.I thought man this guy is surely the Roosevelt of the 21st century. But in the recent weeks i think 'it was all talk and no action' Wall Street has crumbled, Afghanistan...everything seems to be going disastrous. The economist edition for the first week of April talks on how the man who said 'change has finally come' is really finding it a mountain to climb. It's titled 'Learning the hard way' and I would suggest you to read it and I am sure you would agree with me.I know its early and all but like they say 'first impression is the best one' and Obama hasn't got the best first impression. His plan to literally kill outsourcing in my view is sure going to cost America a large price......

Well that's it for this weeks post
Until next week ....

Take care

G 20,Shearer fizz,holidays,geithner.....blink

Hey, in today's post I shall be talking about the recently concluded G 20 summit, the Allen shearer arrival at Timeside, the summer holidays we tenth graders got this week, and Tim Geithner who seems to have it all going wrong at the wrong time.

Well the G 20 summit conclude this week and even though the Prime Minister of UK Gordon Brown said that this summit will be remembered as the day when the top twenty nations came together to fight the global meltdown. Strong words from a man who has had real bad time being UK's no.1 man.The POTUS(President of the United States) Barrack Obama finally agreed that a part of this problem was due to the US. Nicolas Sarkozy who threatened not to attend the summit did not seem to pleased after the summit concluded. All words being said what actions can really be taken to help nearly a billion people worldwide to get back up on their feet.............Well only time will tell

Next i would like to talk about the Allen Shearer Buzz at Timeside (Newcastle). They believe he is the messiah who can help Newcastle from going down. This season has been a disastrous one for the magpies who have had four managers this season alone.Things haven't  started well though two goal defeat to Chelsea (the club that really rocks) shows that the messiah need to lift up his players and needs to clean up a mess at St James park if the magpies want to stay on top. But personally i feel that if it is someone who can do it its the man who has scored most premier league goals...... a man who redefined the world legend.

Next i would talk about the holidays we tenth graders got.Well, this time its not exactly the feeling of 'yes it's time to relax' but the fact that we have the tests the next week after the hols makes me feel like it's no longer the summer I used to rejoice

Finally i would like to talk about the interview  i saw on CNN with Tim Geithner, the treasury secretary. I feel the man is really incompatible and is really not up to his task.Sometimes
I feel that Henry Paulson (treasury secretary during the Bush Administration) was better. The AIG fiasco is a great parameter to clearly show what is really wrong with the secretary. When the senate did question him about the AIG bonuses he tried to dodge most of them without any proper answer. Here is the link of the interview I mentioned

Fine this is all that I wanted to cover on this post.
Next week I shall talk about the champions league first leg and many other things....

Take care
Until then..
