26/11 one year on.....
I'm finally back blogging,a busy schedule of exams and celebrations for the 50th year of my school has kept me away from updating it and I fee really bad for not having updated pretty often.
There have been many issues which would have caught the world's attention some of them being Iran,Afghanistan,China and America and not to forget Pakistan.
But in this weeks post I want to talk about something close to home, something I feel was maybe the second biggest event of 2008 (1st being Obama becoming President) an event which I felt united all of us(Indians) no matter of which religion or caste they belonged to , together. The event I am talking about is the Mumbai terror attacks, and on its first anniversary I would like to recall, pay tribute and see if we have actually learnt anything.
On the fourth Wednesday of November of 2008 an attack of proportions unimaginable took place in a country which has an economy more than a trillion an attack which made everyone question are the people we elect and choose to represent us really capable and bother about the people, and it was an attack that made everyone question WHAT ON EARTH WAS OUR SECURITY SYSTEMS DOING???When six terrorists entered the India via the Gateway of India without being stopped even once it made us wonder were we really so vulnerable.
On the days of 26th 27th 28th 29th The City of Mumbai was on its knees, Attacks on the Trident The Taj Mahal hotel, Nariman house,Leopold Cafe,Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and numerous other locations took the entire country by absolute shock,Everyone stood bewildered as they watched the atrocious crimes committed by these Barbarians. The media gave minute to minute updates and live footage with relatives and friends waiting desperately to see if their near and dear one would come back alive or would just be another addition to the casualty. Finally after the bloody massacre in which over a 200 people died and left 1000's of people life transformed forever, the people lives, ordinary people of this Extraordinary nation came together and prayed consoled one another,Shared their greif and collectively identified themselves as AN INDIAN..
Those dead included people from various walks of life just maybe coming to celebrate or meet and discus important matters or waiting to catch a train home to meet their loved ones. They also included the brave and courageous men who went into Abyss in an intention to rescue others lives not minding putting their own life at risk, just to save the ones who were shell shocked by this event.Extraordinary peope like Sandeep Unnikrishnan , Ashok Kamte ,Hemant Karkare, Vijay Salaskar and the even more simple Tukaram Omble died a martyrs death with only one intention to protect the inncoent people. They are people whom I look up too and really respect and I feel the entire country should too.
The Barbarians also killed Raabi and his wife who was pregnant at Nariman house but miraculously the kid and the Domestic help survived when they were just maybe few second from death.
After all these disasters I feel one year has changed absolutely nothing for the family of these victims and for the entire country.
Now a year later I feel its time to inspect and see what has changed if any.
A year has passed and the government is the same both in the center and in the state. This is the first factor that has not changed. The home minister has changed at the center however the country still remains on a knife edge.We are still vulnerable and still there is no fool proof security. The home minister at the state has not changged and i feel that is an absolute disgrace.A man who has been through 7/11 and 26/11 has been reinstated again.I feel that is an absolute insult to the family of the victims and it hurts them right in the gut.Secondly the government seems to be treating the only Barbarian left behind alive from these terror acts as a famous dignitary. This is also another big blow and makes people loose faith in the system.Thirdly, dialogue with Pakistan has been an absolute waste of time and energy. The country seems to be facing internal rebellion and the Last thing that seems to be there on their mind now has been to accept and take action to dismantle terror networks, and to capture those who have masterminded these attacks. The government needs to be much more strict and push Pakistan more so that if not willingly at least due to pressure and force they arrest and execute those behind such gruesome attacks.
One year later not much seems to be done and people still suffer pain, agony and a feeling that no word can describe when you oose your loved one.
One year later I pray for all those who have lost their loved ones or whose lives have been changed .I pray for god to give them strength, to help them in every way possibe,to help them get justice. And I finally pray and hope that those who sacrificed their lives will never be forgotten for generations to come.
These terror attacks may have dented steel of many buliding and people but they cannot dent the steel of Indian Spirit........................

Afghanistan a step back??,Obama's health plan a huge mess,
Hi
Well, its great to be back. Its been quite a hectic week for all schools and especially for the teachers who were desperately trying to complete portions after the schools shutdown to prevent the spread of the disease. As I mentioned this was a really hasty move and should have been thought over.At least I'm glad its over and things seem to be back on track
A lot of things have happened in the last week around the world. The most significant without a doubt is the Afghan elections. In this week I shall talk about it and how Obama's health plan is going to be a huge disaster that if executed could leave America in deep deep trouble...
On Thursday 20th of August the most dreaded day for any Afghan civilian had just arrived.Yes,on the 21st the country was hosting elections and people were absolutely surrounded with fear of violence increasing and many people dying in the process. The Taliban promised to disrupt the elections and when they say it they rarely joke.the picture on the eve of the election was exactly the ones you might have seen in many movies-people didn't know whom to vote for as there seemed no real option,The NATO troops moved from the Halmenth province that they have captured to Kabul to prevent suicide bombings and to sum it all up that day there was a suicide bombing killing six people........this was the situation just before the day of elections.the next day people did come out to vote and it was largely peaceful. Many people said that they came out to vote as they wanted to defy the Taliban.
6 years ago post 9/11 President Bush pressed for a military offence in Afghanistan to wipe out the insurgents.Taliban rule was literally brought down to its knees providing a ray of hope for democracy in the country.People came in large numbers and voted hoping Afghanistan would be a normal country-peaceful prosperous and happy........6 years later it's anything but that with the Taliban growing in power day by day.So is this government just going to hand over the rule to the Taliban or is there just that glimmer of hope for that country to change its fate...............only time can tell
Now In USA people are absolutely pumping with rage on the Barrack Obama's(who I still feel is not sticking to what he is saying) health care policy.Town hall meeting across the country saw people having heated exchanges with the democratic senators. The president himself addressed the people stating "I don't want to have any difference between the health care policy that the senators have and the one that you have".However people feel if this bill is passed it is a huge storm in the waiting.they feel its going to put the market in debt(which in a deep pit),but the president seems very determined to get it through but with republicans in the way it could be very very difficult to get through...........
Well that's it for this week's post
Until next week,
Take care

'swine flu' the big damn hype
Hi
Well its been a pretty chaotic week for all of us in India. The H1N1 virus has hit the world's largest democracy and after as ussual the Indian media lived up to its reputation of absolutely screwing everything up.On the brighter side one of my freinds seems to following my blog(Yippe!!).
Well in this weeks post I shall be talikng about the swine flu in India and how both the Indian media and the whole country is being a little to precocious.its just about one topic for this weeks post
'girl dies of H1N1 virus in Pune'-Damn this headlines changed it all. What seemed to be an ordinary flu that would probably be cured if we avoided working and took enough rest suddenly changed into something that if contracted would instantly cause death.Well the folks who are largely to be blamed for this is without a doubt is the Indian media which is certainly world renowned for its screw ups did it yet again.Special shows with doctors comming and telling you how not to contract the virus and how to be careful just sent the alarm and panic levels really really high. And absolutely useless 'exclusive interviews' with the parents of the victim is another thing that made my blood boil as it send panic waves throughout the country. And following the media closely were many public institution and office who thanks to the extra ordinary hype of the situation closed down.In this economic depression I wouldn't think that would be too wise to do.
Well my school too closed down stating that they were'precautious' what I don't get it what do they mean by precautious. As far as my knowledge is concerned I don't recollect a single person in my school down with symptoms even close to the swine flu.So why close down and create unnecessary panic. The fact still remains that swine flu consumes 4 out of every thousand people affected by it which is very much similar too the normal flu.Just because it does not have a vaccine does not mean its a virus that is going to eat you up completely and leave you dead in a couple of hours.
The Indian government has been lousy in its stance too. They allow testing a treatment to happen in government hospitals only which anyone who lives in India will know is painfully slow and inaccurate.private hospitals should get into the stream as well and TAMIFLU should also be circulated quicker. The govt of India has declared as stage 1 which means its not at all dangerous.
This is a clear example that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing...............
Well that's it for this weeks post
Hope things ease out a bit next week,
Till then
Take care

Kargil 10 years,is it really slowing down?,vga cables a problem on the backside, big bands sad breakups
Hi
Well it has been a very good week for me.My tests went on well and I finally ended up finishing what I was really planning to do over the last couple of months by a VGA cable to help enable me to watch movies on tv from the laptop. It has also been a week where thanks to the media it was a walk down memory lane where I reflected my thoughts on Kargil and old classic bands.Oh!those good times
In today's post I shall be talking about Kargil and how thanks to the media(for once their right) we still remember them,Is the slump of the economy slowing down, how finding the right VGA cable was a real pain on the back side and finally a look back at some of the greatest bands and a feeling of disappointment for me as they have broken up....
'Kargil was something that inspired many Indians to join the army'-Yogendra Singh Yadav-Param vir chakra awardee.
Ten years on it still inspires true patriots to join the army and help protect their country.I was a little too small (about 5 yrs) to understand what was actually happening all I sensed was that there was tension as my dad used to put on the television and there used t be some red flashing lines and some explosions. But I did see the documentary on the tele this year and realised what a real display of might will and patriotism by the Indian army. What happened in the beginning when many regions such as tiger hill were captured by the Pakistanis killing more than 200 soldiers made the whole country drop their jaws and some burn in rage.It took absolute will determination and planning to drive them out.People such as Captain Vikram Batra who died in the very end of the war are really the true heroes of our country."we will See who is on top of the hill" he told his enemy commander in a radio conversation and he risked his own life for another soldier stating that he had children and a wife and asked him to get back.A truly noble soul who in many years will continue to be an inspiration for others. But I was absolutely levied that neither the prime minister nor the president (chief of the army) made it to the memorial site.Lets just hope the we never forget their sacrifice
People like Vikram Batra are truly what Indians represent 'assertive and caring'.JAI HIND
Next I would like to move on to a topic that is kind of instilling hope into everyone present in the Worlds largest economy.Recent figures show that the rate of decline of profits this quarter has slowed down.Even though the companies didn't make profits they made more than what they expected. The housing sector for the first time in a really long time is looking healthy with prices starting to steady a little bit.But one thing I have to point out is the 14 billion $ profits made by Goldman Sachs ,incredible that's about 110 million dollars per employee. But the one thing that makes me apprehensive is that they are returning back the money to the US govt. They are continuing the risky dirty practises that led to the cause of the slump. But all round I think its safe to say the worst may have just passed.Lets just hope its right.
Next I would like to talk on how absolutely no website provided me the right information on what was the right vga cable to buy so as to enable me to see a movie on my tv that I had downloaded from the laptop. After six visits to the hardware ship I finally ended up getting the right cable and the audio cable
these are the combinations possible
1.the best one is to have HDMI cable on both the sides. This enables you to both see the video and audio on the tv.
2.if you don't have a HDMI port then you can buy a 15 pin VGA cable for the video and then you can buy a 3.5 mm jack acellory port for the audio.
3.you can also have a 15 plug vga cable and have component output if you don't have a 15 pin plug on your tv .for the audio you can by an audio cable also having component audio
4.finally you can s video connecting your tv and laptop and have the same two audio components.
I would like to end this weeks post with a feeling of sadness that bands that performed truly amazing songs have broken up during their peak.I was just listing this week to a few songs by the Beatles and I was amazed to hear the kind of music that they made.Later I heard a few songs by the ABBA.I had heard that these bands had broken up.I felt so bad that bands like what I mentioned above had to break up when they were creating amazing music.Just imagining what kind of music they would have produced if they were still alive is way beyond imagination.I don't seem to get the cause maybe starting solo career but they didn't come close to what they did when were together as a band. The Beatles are gone so that's a miss but I like many hope that ABBA maybe reunite and for one last time perform....
Well that's it for this weeks post
Will be back next week
Till then
Take care

Israel -Gaza the truth, another air crash,Last wishes of a dyin man,
Hey,
It has been a really long time since I last posted my views.Well tests and shifting kept me preoccupied. All said I am really happy that I could find time to post today
Well in the last one month there have a been a lot of things that have changed.I would on this weeks post like to talk on the truth that came out from Israel Gaza war that took place last winter,How the number of air crashes in the world is on a rise and how Kim Jong Il seems to be creating a lot of suspicion
Nearly six months after the war between Gaza and Israel the truth just seems to be seeping out.A startling revelation was made on Tuesday when reports suggested that Israel soldiers used civilians of Gaza as a human shield to protect themselves.a CNN report showed how the civilians felt threatened when they were forced to act as human shields.According to the report the civilians would be right in front of the soldiers and the soldiers placed their guns on the shoulder of the civilians.
Really brutal considering the fact these were just innocent civilians. The defence team of the country have refused to comment but according many societies in the country who support truth movements , they believe that this is very much true and needs to be stopped if there are any chances of a peace between the two countries.Well,if things go this way its just not possible for the two countries to co exist...
Next I would like to talk on how the number of air crash this year has increased to incredible rate.Recently an Iranian flight heading to Armenia crashed killing all 168 on board. The numbers are alarmingly increasing. But why the no of deaths just this year so far is greater than the number dead over the last two years. That's a little interesting as I thought that as time passes technology increases. One reason could be is the low morale in everyone due to this global economy turmoil .The number of safety precautions have considerably reduced as companies are cutting costs continuously to stand a chance to survive in this extreme conditions.Hence a few no of people are employed and pushed to do more jobs.As a part of cutting costs the human life is at stake.......... doesn't seem wise to me.
I would like to end this weeks post with what seems to be a growing tension every day between the two Korea's.North Korea has reportedly fired three nuclear missiles (short range) and has caused many nations to have a suspicious eye over the country.Last week the Prime minister Kim Jung Il made a rare public appearance for the 50th year of liberation of Korea. But as it was noticed he seemed to be limping suggesting that he had a stroke and was thus paralysed. If reports are to be believed the mans future seems very grim and very short. But it's the dying mans to wish to empower North Korea as a nuclear power and suppress its neighbours South Korea who many claim have a better condition and lifestyle. The testing of nuclear missiles seems to be increasing every month and would not surprise any body if one day The missile would be aimed at South Korea. It may be a decision out of desperation for a dying man........
That's it for this weeks post
Will surely update next week
Till then

Aussie Outrage,Britain-what a shame,guss thank you,Obama All talk again
Hey,
Well I could not blog last week as I was busy peraring for NIIT exams which I wrote this Week. In today's post I shall be talking about the Outrageous racial abuse by the Australians on the Indians,I shall also be posting my view on how dirty real dirty Britain's becoming.Chelsea triumph at Wembley and How POTUS seems in no mood to keep up his promises.
"He's an Obnoxious little weed"-Mathew Hayden 2008 India vs Australia.
That was the comment made by the Aussie opener when asked about Harbhajan Singh. That comment was not taken seriously as everyone in the Aussie press considered him to be a real pain in the back side. But not for the first time in their history they have proved to real racists. The story of this week in India was all about the Racist abuse by the Aussie. If the reports are t be believed the young Indian lads seem to be really scared to be out all alone in the public.I don't seem to quite get the connection the Aussies seem to be the biggest pain in the Arse when they travel with every arrangement to have been made for them to ensure their damn security. When a country with 1 billion could do that why cant a country with only 20 million take care of its own people........................A real shame....................................
"He has sunk Britain to a new low.Britain's fortunes have simply seemed to have turned around in his hands.A real shame to the labour party"-Economist
Strong words from what I personally believe a must read magazine. What a mess UK has become is for everyone to see.First the economic crisis the unemployment incompetent government and then Parliament members so called borrowing money for refurnishing their house and now resignation of a speaker.Phew!!!!!!!!!!!! things have really turned around there and most people blame it all on one man -Gordon Brown. The speakers resignation was the first in 400 years. What a time to break the tradition.Ever since the man was in charge its been failure after another.People seems to be fed up.I couldn't agree more with the people's sentiments they seem to be really let down. The systems everything is screwed up in the country and it needs a remake right from the grass roots to get it right...........................Will it? I have my doubts but lets just see..
"He really has the golden touch .where ever he has been he has turned It around let it be South Korea,PSV,Australia or Russia he seems to have the magic touch and so again he has proved it at Chelsea"-Martin Tyler post FA cup final
The special one left a mark on Chelsea many doubted would fade away but a Dutchman just blew it all away. What a breath of fresh air he really has been.Chelsea won the FA cup and what a Way to send the Dutchman who has helped this memorable club.He got the work he wanted from all the players and this is what really makes a great manager.Carlo Ancelotti is the new manager but one thing is for sure he has a big reputation to keep up......
Down to my final topic of the week and its one I am sure republicans must be voicing this too.POTUS Barack Obama said he would close Guantanamo and move all its prisoners.Well like I told you it was all talk. Its easy to say you can do this and that but when you actually do it you seem to be no different from the others.Only one prisoner have been released from the torture camp and he seems to have a taken his word back and start the functioning of all the camp.Well his is a clear example to support what I have been saying all this while he is nothing but all talk and no execution.H is really trying to reaching out to everyone and one has a feeling he may not succeed even in one.Let's just hope he does not not mess it up so badly that its beyond recovery
well that's It for this week's post
Will be back next week
Till then
Take care

The IEL has ended, man utd champions, touched by a pakistani story,USA... no longer wanted
Hey
It feels really good to be back.It has been an absorbing week for all the folks in India. The great Indian election league (IEL) has finally come to end.For the fans of Manchester United to it has been a great week.Well a lot has changed in one week..........
Well in today's post I shall be talking about the concluded elections in India,Manchester United wrapping up the premier league, how a story on CNN really touched me and how one of my friend in the US says it's not worth it...........
Well the mother of all elections in the subcontinent has finally come to an end.It was a vigorous month for all those who campaigned for a place in the Indian Parliament. To add a lot of salt to the wound India faced, its hottest summer since 1991(phew!!!!!!).With temperatures soaring and the politicians campaigning from place to place trying to convince people that they are the way forward made the summer even more hotter.Well at the end of what seemed to be an absolute Marathon the Indian National Congress managed to get the maximum number of seats in the Indian Parliament.Together with its other allies which constitute the UPA(United Progressive Alliance) the Congress is once again set to take power.Well it was a huge let down for the opposition party the BJP.Well I was personally disappointed with the fact that the 81 year old veteran Mr.L.K Advani didn't make it after waiting all these years in the dock for the big job.Like I mentioned last time in my post Life sometimes never gives you what it wants.I was personally a happy on one way that it was one clear winner.Unlike the last elections where several parties combined to form the government at the center. Now the UPA has absolute power to do whatever they want. They practically have no one to oppose them. But the government has to step up security first of all in this country and next try to fix a leaking economy that seems to be getting larger everyday. The people have given the UPA a chance to really show what they are made of and if they can keep their promises.Where will India be in the next 5 years is any ones guess, but the people have given them the big stage to perform wheather they will or not..............................only time will tell.
'This is a league that has set it's standard's.I'll tell you martin it's going to get bigger stronger and better over the next few years. The premier league has always amazed me'-Andy Gray.
Well the champions were honored this week in the premier league and for the third season on a row it was Manchester United. The Red Devils were unstoppable this season.I being a Chelsea fan have to agree that they were the invincibles. The premier league was decided long ago and this has been their best among the last three as the previous two seasons they had to work their socks off.But this season it was a walk in the park.Manchester United managed to get their third trophy this season when they lifted the premier league. It is an extraordinary season for the red devils who are in contention for the Champions league as well. This really has been their season where absolutely everything went right.Hats off to Manchester United job well done........
Well on another note It was Guss hiddinks last game in charge for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and what a way it was to greet him good bye.We won 2-0 against a weak Blackburn side. They atmosphere was amazing with fans shouting slogans 'thank you guss','Roman(Abramnovic the Chelsea owner)ask him to sign the deal','guss we want you here'.Well that really sums up what he did for the club.he was 20 games in charge for Chelsea and he did an outstanding job.He really did lift the morale at Stamford Bridge and earned a lot of respect not only from his players and fans but also from the whole of English football....................THANKS A LOT GUSS FOR EVERYTHING....
Next I want to move on to a story that really touched me.It was in Pakistan and the story was brought forward by CNN.It was about a family that was living in Swat valley in Pakistan. Many people had to leave this region as the military was moving in to flush out the terrorists in the region.Well this family to was displaced and seemed to have no hope but there is one tradition in this country and that is your family is your strength and support so you should always protect them.Well a Woman in Islamabad showed just that. She accepted 46 members from her family who were displaced from Swat and asked them to move into her house which was only 500 odd square feet.Well this is what is called real family bond no matter where you are the family is always there for you.A real strength for a country that has suffered so much over the last 2 years. But there is one truly remarkable story that still exists in this place it's that no matter if you are in danger your family comes always before you and no matter what they make sure you are taken care of......................remarkable
Finally I would like to end this Post with a conversation I had with one of my friends from the US. Well he did come back yesterday from The US. He studies in Purdue University.I had a chat with him asking him about how he saw US change. What I was surprised to hear from him was the act that he said that normal life goes pretty smooth and not many changes have occurred. But the place where there has been a vast difference is the no of people who get hired. He told me that people attend about 20 interviews and are not successful but on the 21st interview they tell 'your hired' but when they reach the office they say 'sorry someone else has filled in your post'.Well the competition seems to be growing every day and you need to strive a 100% more to achieve the same result you wanted to 2 years ago.The sense I got from him was that education from the US is no longer worth it.It's astonishing how the world can turn in one year it really is people dream of going to US and achieve the American dream, but boy that dream today seems to be a really far fetched idea...
Well that's it for this week's post.I really have enjoyed writing this.
Until next week,
Take care

referee again, just for the dollars, istanbul outrage,H1n1 not yet out
Hey,
Its great to be back.Well its been a disappointing day for me with the fact that Chelsea have been eliminated out of the champions league thanks to many blunders by the referee.I was personally very broken and upset when Barcelona did equalise and what infuriated me was the fact that we should have had 4 penalties and the referee didn't see even one.well I learnt one thing this is life and absolutely nothing is fair.
Well in today's post I shall be talking about the horrible errors by the Norwegian referee, how Pakistan seems to be putting a show just to get aid from US, the outrageous act in Ankara, Turkey that has crept in a sense of fear in every one in that country and how the H1n1 virus is far from being eradicated.
'once bitten twice shy' goes the famous wording but for UEFA its just a wording and nothing more.On 6th of May it was Chelsea vs Barcelona .This encounter had its fair share of controversies in 2004 a referee was suspended for banishing a red card for absolutely nothing at a Chelsea player. After that you would think UEFA would have learnt it's lesson but it was not to be as on the 6th may UEFA once again screwed up sending a Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo who was an absolute disgrace for the governing body.He should have given Chelsea at least four penalties but somehow not even one was given.I am absolutely livid.UEFA holding such a prestigious competition would surely keep their best referee's for the last four of the competition but a Norwegian ,that is outrageous. Is this what UEFA is for. Platini should really accept the fact that the referee was wrong and he should be suspended.I know they are humans and i couldn't agree more but not to give oven one out of the four that is not human error it's something far far greater than that................it's stupidity. The fact that everyone was upset was imminent when every player of Chelsea went steaming to the referee and held heated exchanges with him.The better team did not go through largely due to the man in black. This is the highest form of injustice ........
Well next I would like to talk on the so called offence by the Pakistani army to wipe out the Taliban Militants out of Buner and Swat Valley.Well the civilians are the one facing the brunt but like the economist says Mr.10% has to really press to get humanitarian aid from the world's largest economy.Yes Mr.10% did put on a show and pressed in Buner district and did attend a conference with the Afghan president and the POTUS and did end up sussefully getting the aid but everyone knows this it has been a clear press only to get the bucks what remains is if the Pakistani army does continue to press even after the bucks arrive and in an odd of one is to a billion try to suppress the militants.
Next I would like to talk on the outrageous activities that have taken place in Ankara in which 47 people died.It was a wedding day in which all members of family Friends had come.masked assailant's with grenades, automatic weapons had come and opened random firing.A feud with two families was supposedly meant to be the motive for this but the village is just a few miles from the tribal region and clashes with these tribes are becoming more and more often.Irony is that what was meant to be a day of kisses hugs and handshakes ended up as night that everyone ended up mourning for themselves and for others.
finally I would like to end this post with what seems to be 'back to normal'feeling at Mexico the country that has faced a lot of problems due to this virus.People feel that they are a little more safe but the fact that still 100's of them still have it is a good reason for people to still stay away from really large public gatherings. The government realises that it is too early to call but what the citizens don't seem to understand is that this is not the end there is still a large chance that this can grow worse. It needs more time to completely eradicate this virus till then absolutely nothing has come down.......
Well that's it for today's post
Will be back next week with lots more
Until then,
Take care

akruthi death and media scew up,Iraq a time bomb waiting to explode, fortune 500,pirate bay, mexico disaster after disaster
Hi
Its great to be back once again.Well its been a interesting week this week for me.A lot of things have happened this week.I will try to cover the once which are going to change the world and which are debatable
well in today's post I shall be talking about the death of a teenager in India and how once again the Indian media screwed up,how US leaving Iraq means self destruction, the surprises in the fortune 500 list, how pirate bay has taken over my life and how Mexico really has a bad spell with disasters after disasters
Well I express my solidarity to the family of Akruti the teenager who died in the school this week after so called being denied the medical attention.Well as usual the media screwed up so badly it was a real embarrassment. They tried to add fuel to the fire and start a riot at the school and the projection of the principal of the school to be completely wrong is one of the worst things the media can ever do.The media fights sneaks trespass and try to get the idiotic exclusive interview that I am sure that not one of us is interested in.Well yes i agree that it was wrong on the principal not to have let the child receive medical attention but the media projects her to be a POW(prisoner of war) and one that has to be punished by facing a firing squad.Another example was the Kasab's trial in which he so called laughed when the judge told him "I will be your judge".well is he a celebrity to report he laughed for such a silly reason.OH hell! the media needs to change its method of thinking and let people have their privacy...........................one things for sure the media in this country is an insult and I hope that someone changes the way they think
Next I shall be talking about the political situation in Iraq which seems to gloomier day by day.US pulling is like pulling the trigger for self destruction.I personally feel that the country is still very fragile and the president of the US has to start start thinking about extension of the troops at least for another 5 years. The uneasiness has become imminent with the fact there have been about half a dozen of suicide blasts. The Iraq leaders need more time and help from the US to avoid another Afghanistan.Secretary of state Hilary Clinton said that pulling out the troops would enable leadership in the country and would help build a better relationship with the two countries........................but everyone knows that if the US does pull out by 2011 there may be no Iraq to have relationship with .............
well the fortune 500 list was out last week and there were a few surprises.Exxon mobile was no 1 the petroleum giant really has been a company going from strength to strength. One of the biggest surprise was the 6th and 7th positions.the 6th position was that of GM(general motors) and 7th was Ford. These two companies have sunk almost to the bottom of the sea thanks to the economic downturn.they are dependent on the government to stay afloat but still manage to make to the top 10.now that's something to think about. If it still remains we have to see if the companies do exist forget about making it to the list.things seem just to bleak for the automobile industry and especially for these two.The no.2 spot went to wall mart stores.its really surprising how the can make profits when they sell everything at a loss..........(one heck of a trick).the biggest miss in the top 10 was the CITI group who 8th last year which really shows the state to which the banking sector has been hit.Lehman brothers was another big miss after they were 37th last year things have plummeted so badly it couldn't get any worse..........one thing is for sure this economic downturn is a clear test to support Darvin's theory of 'survival of the fittest'.............
Well the next thing I would like to talk about is the website called pirate bay that has taken over my life.It has practically everything and I have been addicted to it.You get practically anything and they are clean not things that can harm your computer. Its uploaded by other users and yes the site name does support it its a bay to dock all the things for everyone to use........
Next I shall be talking about the disasters the country of Mexico has been facing recently.Drug war has been one headache now there is another disaster a deadly flu which supposedly started in Mexico. The flu is called Swine flu and if unofficial reports are to be believed there have been 167 deaths in Mexico and day before yesterday on the 28th of April there was a 22 month child that died in the US due to this deadly flu.The WHO has stated this to be a stage four which is one level from a global outbreak. It has asked the people to avoid unwanted travels to the US and Mexico. But one side of the story I want to bring in front is that the Mexicans feel that they are being pushed by the US and have to accept all the blame for what all happens regarding them and the US,let it be the drug war or this flu the US has conveniently pointed its finger to Mexico.people seemed to be furious with this and lets just hope that this does not strain relations with the two countries and they can solve the drug problems together........................
Well that's it for today's post
I will be back next week with lots more...
Until Then........

champions league & FA cup round up,start of the great Indian elections,is the tide turning???,IPl season 2,Mulayam haha
Hi,
Its has been a week with mixed emotions for me... I had my IIT tutions starting this week. The institution which teaches me is called BASE.This meant that the no of hours I could freak out and sit around dreaming and being jobless had come down.....(not fair). But hey there have been good things too Chelsea went through to the champions league semi final(yippee)
In today's post I shall be discussing about Chelsea's triumph in the champions league and the FA cup and Manchester United not so shocking exit out of the FA cup final, kick off of the Indian elections and the so called Indian premier League, has wall street reached its lowest point and a manifesto of the SP party that has driven every
one crazy.........
Firstly I would like to start of with the news on the worlds beautiful game.Chelsea, well they have been on hot for lately beating Liverpool at Anfield at drawing 4-4 at Stamford bridge. This game was breathtaking and I was just glad that the game was over if Chelsea had to play another half an hour I surely would have got a heart attack. Petr Cech was out of confidence and that was a major reason why he conceded four at Stamford bridge. It was a thriller and here is the highlights of the game.Hats off to Liverpool they almost did the impossible.Like the wording goes 'never write Liverpool out' and they almost proved that on the 14th of April.Even Manchester United made it through to the semi finals thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's brilliantly struck free kick from 40 yards.....
They play Arsenal who cruised past Villareal winning 4-1 on aggregate, the blues play Barcelona and the Catalan giants are going to be one heck of a task for the golden 'Guss's' men.......
In the FA cup Chelsea came back from behind once again to win 2-1 against Arsenal. The Gunners took the lead after just 19 mins Chelsea equalised just before half time. Then in the 82nd minute Drogba sloted the ball into an empty net and Chelsea were through to the FA cup finals.
In the other game Everton won a nail biting encounter with Manchester United.A penalty shoot out was required to settle the game and Everton won 4-2 on penalties with Berbatov and Ferdinand missing for Manchester United.Everton will play Chelsea at Wembley on the 30th of may....
Next I shall be talking about the Indian elections that have kicked off. The first two phases of the elections Have completed and they have been largely peaceful. This is one election that has been tracked by the Indian media but by the world wide media too. This week's economist cover issue is about the Indian elections.I was taken aback for a second and then I was really pleased to know that India did matter on the Global scale. There were a lot of promises from all parties but its up to what promise the people feel is most important and which party's they can trust and expect them to keep up their promises.............
Another event that kicked of this week was the IPL which is played in South Africa this year due to security reasons.Well, personally I am not at a fan of the IPL and I am totally against commercialising any sport and the IPL seems to be doing just that.unnecessary breaks all is just done for the money.A sense what I get from my Friend's is that the feeling is not the same and that it has become a little boring as there is no buzz drama that constitutes the thriller.Well I Just hope the IPL does go on smooth this season but I hope it is banned from next season or at least the no of games are reduced.......
Next I would like to talk about on how the markets seem to be just turning a little on the brighter side. The feeling that I personally get right now is that the worst part has just past us but its going to take one hell of an effort to bring back this economy back to where it was mid 2007.All the Asian markets mostly seem to be in the green except Japan where it still is quite a battle to boost the economy.Wall street also seems to have just passed the storm and it seems like people have realised that it has plummeted far too much to go down any further. But people are not yet investing as it is just the beginning and with the volatility of the market you would have an absolute moron to invest largely on the stock market. It will take time before all the people like Bernie Madoff who follow the ponzi scheme are eliminated from Wall Street making sure that your shares are much more safer....
Finally I would end this post on something I found an out of the world idea. The Samajwadi Party(contesting for the Indian elections) in its manifesto stated that they would ban English and the use of Internet, well the party did clarify(more of a patch up actually) but surprisingly as pointed by Cyrus Brocha on the show 'week that wasn't' on CNN IBN stated that this was published on the web and was written in English exactly what the party said it would ban.....there is something to think about............
Well that's it for this weeks post
Will be back for the next week's post
Until then,
Take care
